El comunismo para novatos...

El otro día me tropecé con esto en Político. Lo cito por extenso:

How can the Dutch, Belgians, French, or West Germans understand what communism was if they did not experience it?” Polish Prime Minster Mateusz Morawiecki said in his defense of Poland’s judiciary laws. To chase away the sprits of (Stalinist) totalitarianism, I recommend you watch “Ashes in the Snow.” The movie, a preview of which screened on Wednesday at Brussels’ Nova Cinema, is based on a book by Lithuanian-American author Rūta Šepetys, who was there last night along with the Lithuanian community, diplomats and friends.
It’s the story of the mass deportation of Lithuanians to Siberia and worse during Stalin’s regime, and will show at a few festivals this fall before coming to theaters early next year. It’s a tale of the cruelties people perpetrate on one another, but it also has the makings of a commercial success: There’s a tender love story, a strong heroine, a tragically ambiguous antagonist, enchanting photography and, as Šepetys and producer Prithvi Chavan said, the radical cuts necessary to bring it down to some 90 minutes. Bob Dylan wrote a song for the film, so stay until the credits finish rolling.
